Paul vs Fury: What has been said?
During their pre-fight press conference, things began to get heated as Fury told Paul to look into his eyes before giving him his prediction.
Fury said: “You’re getting put to sleep inside four rounds.
“I’m not an old man, I’m a fresh young fighter, you should have stuck to making easy money fighting old men and celebrities because I’m coming to take your head off.”
Paul then responded: “I think we make a deal then since you’re so confident.
“If you win I’ll pay you double what I’m paying you already, but if I win I take everything that I’m paying you, deal or no deal?”
Paul then stood up to approach Fury to shake hands on the deal, but the Brit did not take this well, saying: “Why are you standing up like you’re going to do something, sit back down.”
In an exclusive interview with talkSPORT, ‘TNT’ has also insisted that he will RETIRE if he loses to his American rival Paul.
Speaking on talkSPORT Drive, Fury was asked by host Andy Goldstein about whether he would retire if he loses to the ex-Disney actor.
To which he said: “Yes, 100 per cent yeah. Definitely.
“If I can’t beat Jake Paul I don’t belong in the ring.”
When pressed on how he’d react to being caught flush by Paul, Fury replied: “If he caught me, I’d probably just laugh to be honest.
“Because I’ve been used to being hit by heavyweights and Olympic gold medallists, world champions and whatever, so Jake Paul – a little kid from Disney – what’s he going to do?
“I’ll let him hit me, I’m not interested, I’ll put my hands up and let him tee off at me like a five-year-old is hitting me.
“This man has talked himself into a good fight, when you hear the saying, ‘Oh he talks a good game’, this man does talk a good game.
“Whereas me, I can fight a good game. I’m not as good as a talker as he is, I give him that, but I’m levels and levels and levels above him in fighting, and he’s going to find out the hard way.”
